Paper Bags

I think the podcast about paper bags was great. Paper bags have some advantages and some disadvantages. Paper bags can not stretch and rip often. The advantages of paper bags is that it is cheap and it can turn back into soil. This an help the environment a lot. Most people said paper bags are better because the can hold more items. Paper bags also rib when they are wet. Some paper bags don't have handles so they can be uncomfortable to carry. One person said that paper bags are better because they are stronger than plastic bags and don't rip that easilly. They also said you can wear paper bags. You can make a mask of it.

"teenagers spending/saving money"

Many teenagers are spending a lot of their money than saving it. The buy every day materials like shoes, clothes and more. 13% of females spend their money on entertainment such as movies. Many people are also buying many things like games, ipod, and movies. Many teenagers are forced to buy items by peer pressure. Many friends force people to buy an item that they think is cool. Teenagers are spending to much money for items that are not necessary. Most teens spend all their allowance in a given week. Teens who are not disciplined spend more money than those who are disciplined. Technology such as ipods, movies, and video games attract a lot of money from teens.
I think people should just use a minimum amount of money. They should make a plan of how much to spend each month or week.

Emotional Mapping of Cities

Christian Nold has been working on a cartography project. He has been making emotional maps for three years. He has mapped many places like Sienna, Italy, Munich, Germany, and San Francisco. Christian Nold recruits volunteers and asks them to roam around the neighborhoods for more than an hour. When the volunteers come back, Christian Nod attaches a lie detector to each volunteer and asks them what they saw. The lie detectors help Christian Nod determine what each volunteer is feeling while talking about the neighborhood they went to. Christian Nod downloads the emotional maps to his web site. CNN

Three Helpful Websites

The website, del.icio.us, is a great online tool that helps you find good web pages. I found three websites and saved them to my favorites. The first web page is Simple GTD. Simple GTD is a tool that allows you to organize projects and tasks. People can organize their tasks so they will be tension free and have less loads on their minds. Another website like GTD is 37signals. This is a better website because it lets you organize your business, e-mails, and personal things. GTD was at first a book but is now a website. I can use GTD to organize my homework and time. I tagged Simple GTD as gettingthingsdone because that is what GTD means.

The second web page is we7. It is a website that allows people to download free music legally. People can download music for free without worries if it is illegal. music download is also a place to download free songs. There are many websites like We7. I can now download free songs from the computer without paying. I tagged We7 as freedownloads. I wrote this because it was the fist thing that came to head.

The third web page I found was Study Spanish. It is an online class that helps you learn Spanish quickly. People who use it will learn Spanish and learn to have a conversation in Spanish. Another site is Spanish Program. I can use Study Spanish to help me get a better grade in Spanish class. I tagged this web page as begginersspanish and learnspanish because the web page is about learning Spanish.

My Experiance Subscribing to a Podcast from iTunes

Subscribing a podcast from iTunes was easy. It wasn't that difficult and I gained some experience with iTunes. Even a person who has never used a computer could have done it. If you want to subscribe to a specific podcast from a web site, you open up iTunes. Then all you have to do is scroll over to advance and click "Subscribe to Podcast". A box will appear and ask you for the URL. Once you type the address, the podcast will download onto iTunes. Another way to subscribe to a podcast is to click on Podcast Directory in Podcasts. You will then be taken to the music store automatically. The music store will show you a lot of different types of podcast. You than click on a podcast and press subscribe. The podcast will than download onto iTunes. My opinion is that the music store is a better place to go. I downloaded a podcast about a ninja that answers questions. It is kind of funny how the ninja answers the questions. I think it isn't a good podcast because it was poor in content.

My Family Blog

A family can be anyone that loves you and the people you live with. A pet can also count as a family member. Families can also be people who you know but don't live with. For example, a family can be your cousins who don't live with you. My family consists of my brother, father, mother, uncles, and my aunties. My family is loving and caring. My family is also fun because we go places together. Every adult in my family likes to talk a lot with each other. Overall, I think my family is the best. My family involves a variety of people. Half of my family was born in USA like me and my brother. The other half of my family was born in India and moved to the US. My family is half Indian and half Philipino. My grandparents live with us. They are the first generation before my parents. My brother and cousins are third generation. The quote "Families evolve from a patchwork of possibilities" means that families are shaped by people. People shape how a family will look like and who will be in it. For example, half of my family is Philipino because my grandfather has a Philipino wife and childrens.

What Is Copyright?

Copyright is a kind of document that protects the work of artists from being reproduced, sold, or distributed. Copyright protects music, literature, movies, audio, web pages, computer software, and art work. Fair use allows people to copy some parts of a copyrighted material but you have to give credit to the author. Since fair use is limited, you need permission from the author to copy material that is not fair use.

On the copyright quiz, I scored six out of ten. I had trouble with the questions that ask about ownership such as " It is necessary to contact the owner of the copyrighted works. The owner of the copyrighted material is the only person who can give you permission to use the work." I thought it was true but it turned out false. Other questions I had trouble with were numbers 1, 2, 4, 9, and 10. Overall, I think I did good on the quiz. To take the quiz, click on the link below

Fuzzy Logic Assignment

Fuzzy Logic is a new generation of technology. Fuzzy Logic acts like a human brain that allows it to think and solve problems like a human mind would. It is better than binary logic because binary logic does not work like a brain would. Using fuzzy logic would make life easier for humans. For example, a microwave that has fuzzy logic will know when the food has become warm enough. It also works for a camcorder, laundry machine, coffe maker, and other machines. Using fuzzy logic is better because it is also cheap.

What Is My Family Like

I think a family can be anyone. It can be the people you love or the people that live with you. A family can even be your pets or people who don't live with you. I think a family can consist of more than thirty people or just two people. My family consists of my dad, mom, younger brother, and I. I also consider my cousins, aunties, and uncles as a part of my family. All of those people are people I know well and care for me. To me, I think my family is normal. My family is kind and cheerful. We go to places together like Nevada, Reno, Korea, Lake Tahoe, and many other places. We get into many fights but that is normal in all families. Sometimes I feel that my family is breaking up. My brother is never home because he joined a sports team. My mom goes to work early in the morning and comes bck at around six o' clock. My dad hangs out with my uncle a lot. There is a variety of people in my family. Some of my uncles are fun and some are not. I have cousins who are annoying and some who I think are "cool". I also have Philipino cousins and aunties. My family has different generations like my grandparents, then my parents, and finally my brother and I. I think the quote, "Families evolve from a patchwork of possibilities" means that families are shaped from ancestors. The ancestors affect how the family will be shaped like. For example, if my uncle didn't marry my Philipino aunt, I wouldn't have Philipino cousins.

What I Learned By Working On My Project

The project Austin and I worked on was a podcast. It consisted of a few interviews about the best game system. I learned that the Nintendo Wii is the most popular game system. The X Box 360 is the second most popular system before the Playstation 3. The Playstation 3 might not be that popular because it is expensive. People of different age and gender have different thoughts about the best game system. The people who are sixteen and older like the Playstation 3 or the X Box 360. Girls like the Nintendo Wii because it has games that girls will like. The X Box 360 has violent games that girls might not like. The Wii was preffered by people younger than fifteen. I learned that podcasts have to be changed into a mp3 file if it is made from a different software. You have to export the audio to something.

Difficulties and Problems in the Project

There could be many problems that my partner and I might face. We might not get along or we don't like each others ideas. Other problems could be that people don't want to be interviewed. They might be scared or they don't have a game system. Sometimes the people we want to interview won't be available because maybe they are busy. Other problems could be making the movie.

Research Over the Weekend

Over the weekend, I asked some of my friends which game system they liked the most. Some of them had a hard time choosing between the PlayStation 3 and the Wii. Out of the five I asked, two of them said PlaySation 3 and the other three said the Wii. I asked them if I could interview them this week and they said yes. I then asked people younger than me like from the age of seven to ten. All of them said the Wii was the best. O

Best Game System of the Year

Me and my partner, Austin, are going to research on which game system most people prefer. We are going to interview people of different ages and ask them which is the best game system. We are going to do this by making a movie that consists of music, interviews, and text.

Friends Exciting Birthday Party

My friends birthday party was on March 10, 2007. It was an exciting and joyable. There were seven people who attended his party. We played many video games like racing, fighting, and shooting. We then played the Nintendo Wii. After all that, we played an exciting game of basketball and a tough game of soccer. For food, there were fruits, candy, cake, pizza, and drinks. At the end, my friend opened his presents. One person gave him a t-shirt. The rest and I gave him money that totaled around fifty dollars. Overall, the party was amusing and something I'll remember.
